LS-Swapped FD RX-7's often require notching of the transmission tunnel as the shifter location is typically located further forward than the OEM tunnel cutout allows. This notch and new centerline shifter location means that the factory lower shift boot becomes unusable. This shift plate is designed for customers using the popular MGW Fbody Shifter with the offset block clocked in the 6'oclock position and helps prevent unwanted heat, fumes and noise to enter the cabin.
