LS-Swapped FD RX-7's often require notching of the transmission tunnel as the shifter location is typically located further forward than the OEM tunnel cutout allows. This notch and new centerline shifter location means that the factory lower shift boot becomes unusable. This Thermal Shifter Plate helps prevent unwanted heat, fumes and noise to enter the cabin. The shift plate has the following design features:

- Flexible Rubber Boot
- Compressible Weather Stripping
- Installation Fasteners
This plate can be configured in two different ways to cover two different shifter styles:
- Customers using a Pro5.0 Power Tower Shifter or any number of stock T56-style shifters where the centerline is shifted forward.
- Customers using a rear offset Shifter that places the Shifter centerline near the factory location such as the GTO T56 or the Sikky offset shifter.
